Here we go with Greenwold Island- Home of the downtown sector of Gainesburg Greenwold Island is a beautiful area where the ships come to port, the shipping companies have the headquarters and seamen make there homes. Here is a look at downtown in all its glory by the docks- This is the site everyone sees so it is critical that it looks great for visitors-

Downtowns very edge- A park and docks best friend-

The Orisory Lighthouse- Built as a replacement to the original 1795 lighthouse- the Orisory lighthouse is built on a sand bar and was built in 1856. The Orisory Family tended the lighthouse from the beginning of its excistance and when a storm in 1853 wiped out the original they petitioned and won the rights to build a new one- 3 years later there it was and has been ever since-

the National Seamans memorial was dedicated in 1904 after the loss of the KRS James IV sunk off the coast. The toll a person pays to view the park pays for the replacement of any bricks lost do to wear. The bricks include the names of seamen lost over 1000 years of history-

I Have struck an iceberg and sank-
